the idea of naming my photography business paper crane photo was not because it's a fancy title that rhymed, or my own name, or even very original for that matter. it actually stems from an ancient japanese legend. it was something i stumbled upon in the early stages of wedding planning. my fiance and i incorporated tiny cranes into our reception decor and i realized, "wait, this has a nice ring to it!"
the legend promises a wish to anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes. the crane symbolizes peace and everlasting happiness. (i guess if you can endure mild hand cramping and lots of paper cuts, you deserve that...right?) so i guess what started as wedding decor really resonated with me.
i fell in love with the idea of the magical crane and never looked back...
